AA#2015-26 Revised M.A.T. Alternative Licensure in Elementary Education (ATL ELE)
RATIONALE: Due to changes in the Illinois School Code regarding requirements in alternative licensure, a new program in Elementary Education is being added. New programmatic requirements include: two full years of residency in a school setting, a jumpstart term, and two years of graduate level coursework leading to a Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education and a Professional Educator License with endorsements in Elementary Education Grades 1-6 and ESL, and Bilingual Education for qualified individuals.
