Please be advised that our Chicago campus is located within proximity of the Women's March on Chicago being held on Saturday, January 21, 2017. NLU's Chicago campus will be open for regular business and classes will be held as scheduled. Please allow extra time if you will be traveling to the Chicago campus.

March officials have released the following details:

Due to the more than 50,000 people expected to attend Saturday's march and rally, it will now take place along Columbus Drive just north of Jackson Drive.

Columbus Drive will be closed from E Monroe Street south to E Balbo Avenue. E Jackson Drive, E Congress and Balbo will all be closed from Michigan Ave to Lake Shore Drive. Monroe will be closed from Michigan Ave to Columbus. See route map for visual of street closures.

Pre-rally will begin at 9:30am, followed by a 10:00am rally of speakers. The march will begin at 11:30am. Marchers will walk west on Jackson Drive to Federal Plaza, where the march will end. Jackson Drive and Columbus Drive will remain closed for marchers who wish to informally congregate after the march disperses. There will be music playing at the rally site until 2:00pm.

Anyone traveling downtown tomorrow is advised to use public transportation.

CTA<http://www.transitchicago.com/accessibility/>: CTA will run longer trains on the Blue, Brown, Green and Orange lines between 5:00am and 3:00pm Saturday, according to the transit agency. However, bus service in the vicinity of the march and rally may be delayed or rerouted, the CTA warns. CTA Bus Tracker may not accurately predict arrival times for buses in the Loop.
