Dear NLU Community:

The transition to the new ID system which allows access to floors 2 through 6 via the stairs has been completed at the Chicago campus. If you do not have a new NLU ID, please stop by the campus services office to obtain one as your OLD ID will not allow door access as of today.

Subject: New NLU IDs for Faculty, Staff and Students

Dear NLU Community:

NLU will be implementing an improved University ID system starting this fall with new ID card and enhanced security measures.

As part of this new system, all Chicago campus faculty, staff and students will need a new ID to access floors 2 through 6 via the stairs. The new University IDs must be obtained by September 4 when the new system will launch. The old University IDs will not be compatible with the new system. To acquire a new ID, please visit the Facilities Office on the 2nd floor of the Chicago campus.

Faculty, staff and students at Elgin, Lisle, Wheeling and Skokie campuses will also be receiving new ID cards to replace the current ones. New IDs are available in your campus facilities office.

Also during the Fall Term, the University will be rolling out a new security process for the Chicago campus. Anyone wishing to use the elevators to floors 3 through 6 will need to swipe their new NLU ID at the second-floor desk. Updated information regarding specific rollout dates will be shared in the upcoming weeks.

As before, NLU IDs allow items to be checked out through the University Library, provide access to the computer labs, and authorize the use of the NLU printers and copiers.

Best Regards,

Marty Mickey
Vice President - Finance
