RE: Academic Alert: AA#2016-11 Retitling of EdD Degree Program in Teaching and Learning
The following academic alert has been posted. Please read for details.
Academic Alert:
AA#2016-11 Retitling of EdD Degree Program in Teaching and Learning
RATIONALE:
The purpose of this Academic Alert is to document that there is one doctoral program with multiple majors, as well as to ensure aligned practices, policies, and procedures, all of which were approved at the college and university levels and aligns with practice. In addition, this Academic Alert documents that the name of one major, specifically Reading and Language, reverts to the former title to avoid confusion. This change does not impact curriculum, course offerings, admissions process, or assessment. This Academic Alert retitles these NCE doctoral curricular offerings as one Ed.D. degree in Teaching and Learning with three majors in Curriculum, Advocacy, and Policy (CAP); Disabilities and Equity in Education (DEE); and Reading and Language (R&L).
This Academic Alert updates AA #2014-19 Revision Ed.D. Curriculum and Social Inquiry, AA #2014-20 Revision Ed.D. Disability and Equity in Education, and AA #2014-21 Revision Ed.D. in Reading and Language - Name change and curriculum revision.
