AA#2015-22 Portfolio Development for MAT Degree Completion with Time Extension
RATIONALE:   Many candidates for the Master of Arts in Teaching degree programs obtain licensure but do not complete the degree within the university's six-year time limitation. This alert establishes a process that would provide an opportunity for candidates to document their currency in the degree area in support of their petition to the NCE Academic Policies Committee for a time extension for degree completion. This change affects Students in the following M.A.T programs:


  *   Early Childhood Education , ECE and ATL options
  *   Elementary Education, ELE and RTP options
  *   Secondary Education, SEC and RTP options [Biological Sciences, English/Language Arts, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and Social Studies]
  *   Special Education - LBS-1, SPE, RTP and ATL options
