Over the next few days, the Facilities and LITS staff will be reconfiguring the printer/duplicators to accept the new ID cards. This will be accomplished by installing a new "Wave" reader to each printer/duplicator. After this is done, the process to print or copy using the printer/duplicators will be as follows:

To Print:

  1. Send you file(s) to the printer, which will hold them in the cue until you scan your ID
  2. On the printer/duplicator, press the "Other Function" Key, then tap your NLU ID on the RFID pad/Wave reader

3. Wait for authentication to complete.

4. Select "Print All" to release print jobs, or release print jobs individually by selecting each one.

To Copy:

  1. Press "Use Device Functions," then the "Copy" button.

2. Once you are finished, tap your NLU ID on the RFID pad to logout.

Please note that LITS can reconfigure each printer/duplicator so that it can release all print jobs that are sent to it immediately without having the need to tap the Wave device with your ID. If your area is in agreement that it would like the printer/duplicators reconfigured in this way, please contact Daniel Giron at extension 5298.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call Ruben Velez at extension 4013 or Daniel Giron at extension 5298.
